Adore (2013) Trailer Breakdown Featuring Naomi Watts and Robin Wright

Adore Trailer

Scandals Abound.

To be clear, this isn't an XXX movie. This movie perhaps redefines the word scandal by placing people in a scenario that is completely unheard of; unless you happen to be well-acquainted with
the adult film industry where nothing is off limits (which I’m not).

In concise terms according to IMDb, a pair of childhood friends and neighbors falls for each other's sons. The pair happens to be 44 year old Naomi Watts and 47 year old Robin Wright. From what little the trailer has shown their sons look like pro-surfers so it’s little wonder that they’d be attracted to the guys.

The two sons played by Xavier Samuel and James Frecheville are without doubt very fortunate to be able to serenade two of Hollywood’s acting heavyweights, who happen to be bewitching in their beauty. This would have been a dream job then.

The film is based on the novel by Nobel laureate Doris Lessing titled “The Grandmothers” which is a short story collection. However, the leading ladies aren't grandmothers and as reported by the novel another hurdle happens to be that the boys are married. It is unsure if this bit has been included in the movie but if it has been this will be the most provocative and offensive material that comes out this year. The picture has already been seen at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and has been slapped with an R rating (Surprise!). It currently holds a 6.3 rating on IMDb which is quite modest.

This should be a thought-inducing movie, simply because of its premise. I have always been curious as to how actors can feign intimacy on screen and go to their respective families at the end of the day. They are professionals but what if they are method actors who take things to another level? What if the on screen representation is similar to their feelings in reality? Besides, as a viewer, this movie may persuade you to never leave your friends alone with your parents. Beware, and watch at your own peril.

Don't you care that your mother is sleeping with your friend?
