Tom Hardy is a Wimp

Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman and Benedict Cumberbatch Own Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Not to worry. Tom Hardy can never be a wimp in reality. It’s only in the movie Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Recently, I declared myself a Tom Hardy devotee after witnessing his machismo time and time again in his film outings. I began a pilgrimage to complete watching all of his onscreen performances, including those well-known outings as the infamous “bad-ass”. Films that spring to mind are Lawless, where his performance dethrones 50 Cent to claim the title “Bullet Proof,” and The Dark Knight Rises where he portrays the super villain Bane, playing around with Batman as if he were a stuffed teddy bear. He epitomizes masculinity.

Where Skyfall Failed

Skyfall Contains a Few Fizzles Here and There (Spoiler Alert)

Skyfall has a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and all other websites have universally acclaimed the movie. So I’m treading on rather treacherous waters here by pointing out some let downs of the movie.

Dread Dredd

Dredd is Perfect for the Undemanding Viewer

Dredd delivers everything it promises, which if summarized perfectly would add up to rampant and glorified violence. It’s essentially in a dystopian America (thanks to radiation) where law and order is exercised by those known as Judges, who get to act as judge, jury and executioner. One judge known as Dredd gets saddled with a rookie who faces a supervision test in the field. Through an act of random probability the 2 get saddled with a multiple homicide that gets them tangled up with a flourishing drug clan selling a narcotic known as Slo-Mo. It slows time. A lot.

Iron Man about to be Squished in 3rd Movie

Iron Man 3 Features The Mandarin, Tony Stark's Archenemy

I’m assuming that you've already seen the trailer for Iron Man 3. It’s basically a terrible time for Tony Stark, running through a mid-life crisis of sorts following the events of The Avengers, where he nearly got stranded in outer space. Then on top of this his house gets demolished by a series of missile attacks, and it shows Tony getting crushed under the weight of his own broken home in the ocean in his infamous iron man suit.
The man responsible for this assault is known as The Mandarin.

Sherlock Holmes Goes to Rehab

1976 Sherlock Movie The Seven-Per-Cent Solution Sees Holmes Heading for Trouble

Why would you want to watch a 1976 movie with dated special effects (if it features any) on a foggy picture that blurs even the most perfunctory details? Because now it’s in Blu-Ray. Because it features Sherlock Holmes. Because it features Sherlock Holmes at his most vulnerable as he guzzles down cocaine in a cocktail, hence the title of the film Seven Per-Cent Solution.

Lex Luthor Axed From Superman Man of Steel

Man of Steel Villain is General Zod

The new Superman movie Man of Steel is set to accommodate theaters and cinemas in June. Since it is a much anticipated franchise reboot, there was a tremendous amount of hysteria surrounding the casting procedures and the actual characters that would appear. The most followed news piece was the choice of villain for the movie, and this honor fell upon General Zod to be portrayed by Michael Shannon.

Should the Evil Dead be Remade?

Evil Dead Remake to be Released in April

This is the eternal dilemma. Should a remake be made? Look back over the years and you will see that most remakes have stumbled and crashed upon flight. One such entry was 2010’s Clash of the Titans, which tried to reenact the 1981 classic unsuccessfully.
