Captain America Returns After a Brief Hiatus
Captain America is back in new colors, sporting a much darker look than in his previous suits. The movie sees several characters return after their Avengers outing, including Nick Fury and Black Widow. As one might expect, this movie should lay the perfect foundation for the Avengers film, like it did with The First Avenger.
Personally, though, the trailer didn't get to me like the first installment did. It feels visually and thematically similar to other superhero and Sci-Fi movies. Of course, this works well when considering that Marvel provides its usual dose of humor, seen in the first airplane sequence of the trailer. But the action seems to have been ramped up significantly through CGI, and some scenes look questionable, especially the one where the Winter Soldier throws a device to blow up a vehicle.
Anyway, I found Captain America's first outing to be the best in Marvel's phase one, and I have high expectations from this film as well.
